Birthmarks

A birthmark is a unique coloration on the pot which is present after its birth.  They can occur anywhere on the pot.  Birthmarks are caused by small areas of intense heat and lack of oxygen that form randomly during the firing process. Birthmarks are strictly cosmetic, making the pot unique as no two birthmarks are exactly alike.
